English Teaching Assistant
Hello everyone! My name is Marshall Bender and I served as the English Teaching Assistant for the BG/BRG Stockerau this school year.
My time in Stockerau was something I will always hold dear to my heart. I will never forget the times I had teaching the Gymnasium’s incredibly smart and fun students and the connections I established with my fellow teachers. Throughout the school year I had the privilege of teaching this school’s wonderful students a diverse range of topics, including subjects on US politics, history, and culture; travel; environmental issues; and even debating skills. I sincerely hope that my students gained something from these lessons and that they had as much fun learning as I did teaching them.
Beyond teaching, the chance to participate in school and class events was something I loved. Having an “American Breakfast” with the 5B class was so fun, although cooking in school is always a bit chaotic. Additionally, the ability to travel and see more of our beautiful world was something I will never take for granted. While living in Austria, I was able to visit many more countries, and my thirst for travel is even greater. My time in Austria will soon be over, but the memories I made will never fade.
I would like to thank all of my colleagues for their support and encouragement throughout the school year. Additionally, thank you to all the students for their enthusiastic participation, eagerness to learn, and for not shying away when sharing their thoughts and opinions. Students: Study hard, love yourselves, and get out into the world. There is so much to see and do, and if you want something to change, DO IT! Only you have the power to improve your life and the lives of others. I wish you all nothing but the best. This is your world–grasp it!
Vielen lieben Dank an euch alle!
