FotoOn January 18th, the English elective subject classes from 6th and 7th grade took part in the Meet US program in the America House in Vienna. It was a field trip to explore the land of cheeseburgers and freedom fries.

Mrs. Miller, a US diplomat and our knowledgeable guide to all things American, took the lead. She shared fascinating insights into fast food, the 'normal' American diet (if there even is such a thing), and introduced us to some unfamiliar words and phrases that left us scratching our heads.

Then came the question and answer session, where we eagerly asked about topics like the American way of elections, gun violence, and other important matters that would make Socrates proud. It was deep stuff, you know.

But hold onto your seats – the highlight of the day was a delightful sweet buffet. Picture a sugar rush extravaganza featuring typical American sweets. Some lucky few even got their hands on pop tarts! It was like stepping into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, but with more star-spangled sprinkles.

In summary, it was an afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and enough sugar to power a small town. American culture, you're now officially on our radar!
